Lately my conversations with my 5 yr old daughter have been interesting to say the least.
She shocks me and makes me laugh and just makes my day brighter.
I thought I would post for your entertainment some of my conversations with my 5 year old daughter:
Conversation 1:
5 Year Old 'Mom do you think the teachers would be mad?
Me 'Why would they be mad?'
5 Year Old 'Because Big Boy would poop on the school. My teacher would be mad and my friends would cry'
Me 'I think everyone would be very mad if Big Boy pooped on the school'
5 Year Old 'well maybe he should use the bathroom next time because pooping on things like schools isn't good.'
Conversation 2:
5 Year Old: Mom where does cake come from?
Me: Well its made from sugar and then someone puts it in the oven and it becomes cake.
5 Year Old: so before its goop?
Me: yes its goop
5 Year Old: Do fairies come make it into cake because goop cant be cake
Me: No the oven turns it into cake
5 Year Old: Ok so Oven Fairies?
Me: I guess
Conversation 3:
5 Year Old: Mom I want to make a birthday list (her birthday isn't til October)
Me: Ok
5 Year Old: I want some dolls and ponies and oh yea a boat and a car.
Me: A boat and car.. you cant have those til your older.
5 Year Old: I know that but you need to start saving your pennies and dollars so I can get one.
Me: How about you start saving your money?
5 Year Old: Ok but don't forget im only 5 and your old and you have money and I need a red car and a boat so chop chop start working.
This blog will chronicle my life as a mother to 3 crazy girls and our fight against a hidden condition called Chiari Malformation.

When its Over
Wow its been less than a month since our first surgery.. well not our first surgery but my 5 yr old first surgery.
The day was beyond stressful and we had a lot of emotions going in but what parent doesn't when you know your child is being operated on.
Thank goodness we have an amazing doctor who works wonders and has hands like an angel.
Our surgery day was June 19th at 730am so we had an early early start that day and we drove the 15 minutes to the hospital all ready and prepared and my 5 yr old in the backseat sleeping on the way there.
We got to the hospital and got situated in the pre op room and they gave her some medicine to help her relax.
What FUN that was.. hahaha.
The doctor came in the room to just make sure we and everything was ready and my daughter kept saying 'Hi Doctor Gilmer' over and over and over and over.
She left then an nurse walked in and my 5 yr old got very very upset and I asked why and her reaction was 'DR GILMER WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR SKIN'
I laughed so so hard.
Surgery happened.. we waited.. recovery room fun began as my daughter ripped out her catheter and was kicking and screaming and just plain down scared.
Our hospital stay was amazing and she is amazing.
Since leaving the hospital she hasn't needed a drop of pain medicine or anything.
I cant believe we made it through the hospital stay and made it through keeping our sanity.
Believe ME this surgery has been a relief and I couldn't be happier with the results and the future for my daughter.
She has recovered wonderfully and you wouldn't know that she just had surgery.
Kids are amazingly resilient little people and for me I saw first hand how resilient they are.
I guess we move forward now to surgery number 2 which happens in August.
For right now we are enjoying our summer though for whatever reason we got here I know that we are going to spend every minute enjoying the time we have.

The Brony Epidemic
I wanted to post about this because I have never seen a Brony or met a Brony until today.
If you don't know what a Brony is, here is a description:
A brony is a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic that is outside the target demographic of little girls.
Ok so I don't have a problem with people other than young little girls liking the show but to tell you the truth I don't truly get the whole thing surrounding the fan base for this show.
Yes its cute.
Yes its funny sometimes.
But why do older men and women from teenage years to adult years love this show so much.
We went to see the new My Little Pony movie in the theatre today and the whole 2 back rows was filled with teenage boys and adult men.
It threw me for a loop to say the least.
To say this is a small following is a total lie because Bronies are popping up everywhere.
With blogs, to fan fiction writing, to art, to even their own convention called Brony-Con 2013.
I am just shocked that something that was made for little girls has turned into such an phenom.
Looking through some of the pictures of the Bronies I am seeing women dressed in pony fashion from head to toe and sometimes it not being to kid friendly.
I am hoping my daughter out grows her love of My Little Pony but if not she always has the Brony Team to join once shes older.

Our Last Day Before Go Day
Well today is the last day I can say we can really enjoy summer.
Tomorrow morning my middle crazy child goes in for surgery.
To state that this mama is anxious or scared is an understatement. I am beyond and utterly terrified and having full blown panic attacks.
Well anyways back to the real reason for this post.
This Last Day before Go Day!
Well me and my stink went to see this new movie called My Little Pony Equestria Girls.
If you don't know what My Little Pony is then you have probably been living under a rock.
Its a revival of the 80s show but these ponies have huge eyes, little snouts and don't look ANYTHING like the original.
So this movie is about how this character Twilight Sparkle gets her crown stolen by an evil pony and this evil pony jumps through this mirror which takes her to a different world and Twilight Sparkle has to follow her to get the crown back.
Its an adorable movie and the crazy kid loved it.
I can tell you this child has NEVER sat through a whole movie before but for this one she sat still and watched the whole time.
Then again, this is the kid who watches My Little Pony everyday at least 3-4 episodes a day so when I say she LOVES My Little Pony I am not exaggerating.
So the morning went well in my eyes and then we went to the Splash Park by my house and I let her run in the splash park for a good 2 hours.
This kid not only LOVES My Little Pony but anything to do with water.
I swear she was a fish in another life because she loves swimming.
I just wanted her to experience the summer activities while she could (of COURSE we will take her to more movies), but letting her run through the water and seeing the utter joy on her face was amazing in itself because her happiness brings me happiness and I couldn't ask for a happier, more joyful crazy child.
But back to reality of this whole situation.
Tomorrow is surgery. Go day and ready to start a new journey and hopefully we can successfully potty train my amazing child.
Sooo next posts will be about the surgery and recovery and might get sappy so be prepared!

My First Post.. So Exciting
This is my first post... hmm what shall I talk about with this one.. well this blog is dedicated to my crazy life with 3 crazy girls or I could talk about the upcoming surgery of my 5 yr old or I could just blabber on about nothing in particular.
Well, I guess here it goes.
Well my oldest crazy kid started summer camp today and my youngest crazy kid started daycare and I spent a full lovely day with my middle crazy kid just enjoying some mommy and her time.
I think that was the first time in her life that I have ever just had a day with her and not had my little one with me or my older one tagging along.
It was really nice just enjoying her and her craziness.
I took her to the mall play area (yes a mall play area) which is nice because it doesn't cost money and the kid could run around for hours bouncing and jumping and doing what she does to get rid of all her energy. Today it was more hanging on me and climbing on me.
Why does it seem when kids get in an area where parents are allowed to sort of relax the kids use you for a jungle gym and not the actual jungle gym area for that stuff?
Well after my full workout being a human jungle gym I then took her to her favorite restaurant. MCDONALDS!
Yes I know bad parenting because everyone says its sooo bad but the kid only gets McDonalds once a month so why not treat her when its a special day just for her and me?
So I took her there and I had a nice older man come up to me and start talking to me about how my kid reminded him of his kid and after 30 minutes of listening and smiling and shaking my head in response he finally went away and all the while he was talking my 5 yr old crazy kept trying to talk to me and kept interrupting him by screaming.
Seriously embarrassing if you ask me. So we then went home and she napped for a good 2 hours.
NICE SCORE ONE FOR ME!
She never naps but I wore her out being her jungle gym.
So my lovely day with my crazy 5 year old went wonderfully and I love her to pieces.
Never under estimate the love of a mother who is part jungle gym!
